The adventurous panorama trail in the Wildkogel Arena provides unique views from the top station to the middle station of the Wildkogel gondola. It’s worth stopping and marvelling at the numerous resting and energy-gathering points: with views of snow-covered 3,000-metre peaks in the Hohe Tauern National Park, including Salzburg’s highest peak, the Großvenediger at an incredible 3,666 metres.
Get on the slide mat, hold on tight and go! That’s the motto on the slide path that awaits slide enthusiasts and others who want to become sliders at the middle station of the Wildkogel gondola. With a surprise like this, the previous hike is guaranteed to be a lot of fun even for the little ones. Disappear into tubes, dive into troughs and dash across waves. You will experience a special surprise moment on the slide with “free-fall effect” – so just let yourself have a drop.
On ten different stainless steel slides, which are 22 to 53 metres long, you can “slide” your way down to Gasthof Stockenbaum where the whole family can enjoy a tasty snack. After this refreshment, you and your loved ones can take a leisurely 50-minute walk from the Stockenbaum restaurant to the centre of Neukirchen. If you are too tired from all the excitement for the “descent”, you can easily hop on the hiking bus that takes you directly from Gasthof Stockenbaum to the valley station of the Wildkogel cable car.
