The motorway vignette

Since Nov. 2019, no vignette obligation on the A12 Inntal motorway from the state border (Kufstein Süd). Otherwise, the vignette is compulsory on all motorways and motorways in Austria.

This means that you do not need a valid vignette for the route from Kiefersfelden to Kufstein-Süd!

Our tip: Buy a vignette in plenty of time – ideally before you start your journey – and stick it properly on the windscreen. NEW from December 2017, purchase the DIGITAL VIGNETTE at www.asfinag.at. This will save you from unnecessary hassle – such as a 120 euro replacement toll if you are driving without a vignette. Compliance with the vignette obligation is monitored: By the police and ASFINAG. If you are on the road without a valid vignette, you risk a so-called replacement toll. 120 euros for cars, 65 euros for motorbikes.
