The ultimate tobogganing fun

Enjoy the longest floodlit toboggan run in the world

The Wildkogel Arena is a family-friendly holiday area, so tobogganing is of course a must! For this you need a decent toboggan run. We have just such a toboggan run here. It’s not just any toboggan run, its the longest illuminated toboggan run in the world! A route of 14 km with a difference in altitude of 1300 m is truly impressive. A toboggan run like this can take a good 30 to 50 minutes! Cosy refreshment stops await you along the toboggan run.
In addition to the longest illuminated toboggan run in the world, there is also our own toboggan run Kühnreit – a natural toboggan run right behind the hotel (approx. 1.5 km; illuminated daily until 10 p.m.), the Stockenbaum natural toboggan run from the middle station of the Wildkogel cable cars to Gasthof Stockenbaum (length approx. 5 km) and the Neuhaushof natural toboggan run – from the middle station of the Smaragdbahn to Gasthof Neuhaushof (length: approx. 3 km)
Highlight: the tobogganing season will be extended until Easter! From 13.03.2023 the new toboggan run A5 will go into operation directly in the Wildkogel Arena (from the Smaragdbahn mountain station to the valley station of the Ganzer X-press gondola lift). (length:  3.2 km)

  • Evening rides for tobogganists (ascent until 6.30 p.m.) only on Friday with the Smaragdbahn in Bramberg
  • On the other days, ascent is possible until 4.15 p.m.
  • The entire length of the toboggan run is floodlit until 10 p.m. daily (toboggan run closes at 10 p.m.).
  • You can rent toboggans directly at the hotel (for free of charge).
  •  Absolute closing of the toboggan run and end of lighting is at 22:00.
  • Please stop and wait only in the designated waiting areas, never in the curved areas.
  • Only cross the toboggan run at obvious places.
  • If the toboggan run is heavily frequented, there may be pronounced ripples on the track; we kindly ask you to adjust your speed to the toboggan run conditions.
  • Always keep hold of your toboggan by the loop to avoid unnecessarily endangering fellow tobogganers and losing the toboggan.
  • In order to enjoy the ride properly, suitable clothing is necessary. We especially recommend ski goggles, scarf, hat, ski pants or gaiters, gloves, sturdy boots – no ski boots.
  • Children up to 6 years old should ride on their parents’ toboggan! Tip: Sledding with a helmet is even safer!
  • Be considerate of other toboggan run users. Behave in such a way that no others are endangered or harmed.
  • Alcohol impairs your driving behaviour. Addictive substances reduce your ability to react and assess danger correctly.
  • Sledding on ski slopes is dangerous and prohibited.
  • Observe locks and warnings.
  • And if you need up-to-date information about tobogganing (closures, opening hours, etc.), call our tobogganing hotline – the telephone number is: +43 6565 39800
