“I wanted a mountain lake: clear, blue water that makes you want to jump in. Not a public pool with chlorine, and not a pond with algae and tadpoles,” says Sonja Gassner. That’s why she sought out – and found – Austria’s best natural pool builder. Since then, the natural pool has been a little jewel in our Garden SPA. In summer, it invites you to linger with cozy lounge furniture and quiet islands of relaxation. In winter, the pool is unheated but ice-free – perfect for a refreshing dip or mindful ice bathing after the sauna.

Drinking water quality from the Hohe Tauern
Clear, fresh, and completely free of artificial additives: our natural pool is filled with pure Blausee spring water – directly from the Blausee source at the entrance to the Obersulzbachtal in the Hohe Tauern National Park. This water is of drinking quality and known for its exceptional softness.
What refreshes you in the natural pool can also be enjoyed throughout the entire hotel: our precious Blausee water is regularly tested by an accredited inspection authority and guarantees safe, pure enjoyment straight from the tap.
