Between curve fun and mountain hut magic

This is how tobogganing holidays work in Austria's mountains

The Wildkogel Arena is not only a particularly family-friendly ski resort, but also home to the longest illuminated toboggan run in the world. The run starts at the Smaragdbahn mountain station in the Wildkogel Arena and continues for 14 kilometres and 1,300 metres in altitude down to Bramberg. A descent takes a good 30 to 50 minutes, and there are cosy places to stop for refreshments along the way – perfect for a short break with hot tea, Kaiserschmarrn or a hearty evening in a mountain hut.

Blausee toboggan run

It starts at Blausee and leads to Gasthof Siggen. Over a distance of around 2.5 kilometres, you can enjoy a nature-filled toboggan ride along the winter hiking trail to Obersulzbachtal.
