On your marks, get set, go! Tobogganing in the Wildkogel Arena

Your holiday in Austria’s mountains will be great fun!

Tobogganing makes life wonderful – in the most enjoyable way winter has to offer. When the wind brings a gentle tingle to your skin, the snow crunches beneath the runners and you sweep through the next bend with gusto, you feel wonderfully fulfilled and utterly happy – a bit like you did back when you were a child. Whether during the day in the sun or at night under the starry sky: on Austria’s longest toboggan run in the Wildkogel Arena, or directly on our own Kühnreit toboggan run behind the hotel, the flow is always within reach. What tremendous fun!

Between twisty thrills and après-ski magic

How to have a tobogganing holiday in Austria's mountains

The Wildkogel Arena is not only a particularly family-friendly ski area, but also home to the world’s longest illuminated toboggan run. You start at the Smaragd lift mountain station, then it’s 14 kilometres and 1,300 vertical metres down to Bramberg. A descent easily takes 30 to 50 minutes – along the route, cosy huts, hot drinks and the region's most beautiful winter panorama await.

Always ready for the next curve fun - we're your hotel with a toboggan run

Staying at a hotel with its own toboggan run - how cool is that? Alongside Austria’s longest toboggan run, we also have our own Kühnreit toboggan run and more fantastic natural toboggan runs to discover in the region. We've put together a clear summary of further information on this for you.

Kühnreit toboggan run (right behind the hotel)

Our own Kühnreit toboggan run starts right behind the hotel – 1.5 km of fun, illuminated daily until 10:00 pm. Perfect for spontaneous evening departures. You can hire toboggans directly at our hotel.

A5 toboggan run in the ski area

Situated in the heart of the ski area, the A5 run offers 3.2 km of pure fun – particularly popular from spring to Easter as a great alternative when the ride down to the valley is no longer possible.

Stockenbaum natural toboggan run

This 5 km-long run leads from the mid-station of the Wildkogel lifts to the Stockenbaum inn – leisurely, varied and ideally suited for families.

Neuhaushof natural toboggan run

3 km of tobogganing fun from the mid-station of the Smaragd lift to the Neuhaushof Inn – a shorter but all the more atmospheric run.

Blausee toboggan run

It starts at Blausee and runs to the Siggen Inn. Over roughly 2.5 km, you’ll experience a close-to-nature tobogganing run along the winter hiking trail into the Obersulzbach Valley.
