Arriving by car

From the north (Germany): Via Kufstein Süd or Lofer, you reach Mittersill via Kitzbühel or Zell am See, and from there you can go directly to Neukirchen.

From the west (Switzerland): Via the Inntal Motorway to Wörgl East and on via St. Johann, Kitzbühel, Pass Thurn and Mittersill to Neukirchen.

From the east (Vienna): Via Salzburg and Zell am See, or alternatively via Lofer, to Mittersill and on to Neukirchen.

Compulsory vignette In Austria, a vignette is mandatory on motorways and expressways – except on the short section between Kufstein Nord and Kufstein Süd. Vignettes are available as a traditional sticker or digitally at asfinag.at

  • Public transport: You can find timetables and tickets directly from ÖBB.
  • Hire cars: With providers such as Sixt, Avis or Europcar, you can travel flexibly and explore the region at your own pace.
Arrival by train

International trains take you as far as Zell am See; from there, take the regional train directly to Mittersill and continue on the rail replacement service to Neukirchen. In summer, you can even travel free of charge from Zell to Neukirchen with the National Park Mobile Summer Card.

You can find all information and timetables from the ÖBB and the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn. International connections are available, for example, via Deutsche Bahn, Swiss Railways, Italian Railways, French Railways, Czech Railways as well as Hungarian Railways.

In Neukirchen, we will be happy to pick you up free of charge directly from the Neukirchen Zentrum bus stop (by Billa). Please let us know shortly before your arrival.
