Trattenbachtal
in the Kitzbühel Alps
In the mood for leisurely alpine hikes?
The Trattenbachtal is a small, idyllic side valley in the Kitzbühel Alps. The Trattenbach stream rises from numerous springs in the Trattenbach high alpine pasture at around 2,100 meters and accompanies you along your walk through the valley. Here you’ll mainly find easy and gentle hikes – perfect for taking it slow and letting nature work its magic.
A favorite is the Montlanger Trail, which leads you up to the Sonntagsalm (open in July/August) or to the Steineralm. Also rewarding are the hike to the Filzenscharte or the ascent to the Montlangeralm (1,784 m), which you can reach from the Dürnbach valley into the Trattenbachtal. A special highlight is the tour up to the Kröndlhorn (2,444 m) with its small chapel at the summit – one of the highest and most impressive viewpoints in the Kitzbühel Alps.
