Hollersbachtal + Resterhöhe
Nature, alpine pastures & panoramic views
The Hollersbachtal is wider and more open than its neighboring valleys. With a gentle ascent, it leads into the Hohe Tauern National Park and delights with valley floors, alpine meadows, and a lively alpine farming culture. Particularly worthwhile are the Herbal Nature Trail and the Stream Nature Trail, which offer fascinating insights into plants, nature, and wildlife. A real highlight is the hike to the idyllic Kratzenberg Lake with the Fürther Hütte – the largest natural mountain lake in the National Park.
If you’d like to see the valley from a different perspective, take the panoramic cable car up to the Resterhöhe in the Kitzbühel Alps. There you’ll find gentle alpine meadows, cozy huts perfect for a rest stop, and easy peaks ideally suited for shorter tours. From here, you can enjoy impressive views of the Hohe Tauern and deep into the Hollersbachtal.
