Wald im Pinzgau + Königsleiten
Where a hiker’s heart can yodel
Wald im Pinzgau and Königsleiten open up wonderful tours into the Kitzbühel Alps. Gentle alpine paths, panoramic ridge routes, and flower-strewn peaks such as the Gernkogel (2,267 m) make this hiking region a very special nature experience. Also popular are the hike to the rustic Salzachjoch snack station or the quiet Krippen Trail through the forest. Those who want to climb higher will find a true summit adventure at the Salzachgeier (2,466 m).
In Königsleiten, several highlights await – such as the Yodel Hiking Trail. It starts right at the top station of the village cable car, whose ride up is even free in summer with the National Park Summer Card. This themed trail combines natural enjoyment with tradition and fun – and is equally popular with young and old.
